So, in the intervening days...er...weeks, since I posted last, Emma has developed all sorts of shenanigans to keep me running! One of the most exciting being that she crawls on all fours now and pulls herself up to a standing position via all sorts of things with perfect aplomb. As evidenced by the pictures, she gets a kick out of using our step ladder as a launchpad for all sorts of mischief. The baby bee has also been delighting everyone in a three-yard radius with her new "tricks," including Patty-Cake, waving and saying "baa-baa" (her version of bye-bye), and wobbling her hand in front of her mouth to make a "wobba-wobba-wobba" noise. It is really funny. Unfortunately, our cat, Mercury, doesn't find it all quite so entertaining and demonstrated this with a quick swipe at her forehead. In kitty's defense, the baby bee was getting up in his proverbial "bidness" with unrelenting enthusiasm and I think poor Merc felt cornered. Alas, Emma was just devastated that her favorite furry friend lashed out. However, it does not seem to have dampened her spirits around felinekind. Watch out, Merc!
